Lessons, reflections, and growth from Speakers Society Accelerator Cast 3.

Yesterday, we wrapped up Speakers Society Accelerator Cast 3 – and today, it’s my birthday.

It feels like the universe planned this poetic timing – a quiet reminder that growth isn’t measured in years, but in moments of meaning.

I’m a year older, three cohorts wiser, and more convicted than ever that what we’re building together at Speakers Society is not just a programme – it’s a movement.

Because every cast reminds me of one simple truth: Our voices can change our lives – if we dare to use them.

🌱 The journey so far: From dream to movement

When I first dreamed up Speakers Society, it wasn’t about creating another speaker training programme. It was about creating a stage – a home – for voices that deserved to be heard, celebrated, and amplified.

From a handful of dreamers to a thriving community of over a hundred speakers, coaches, creators, and professionals, we’ve grown in just six months. Three casts, countless breakthroughs, and stories that still give me goosebumps.

This journey has never been about perfection – it’s about conviction.

And as one of our incredible participants, Andy Ng, so beautifully wrote in his LinkedIn reflection titled “Is it worth it?“:

“It’s not just about stage presence – it’s about thinking, acting, and growing like a Speaker CEO.”

Those words hit home. Because that’s exactly what this is about – learning to lead with your voice, build with your purpose, and earn with integrity.

🔥 Conviction: The theme of Cast 3

If I had to describe this cast in one word, it would be Conviction.

Every cohort has its own heartbeat – but this one pulsed with energy, dreams, and a contagious sense of direction.

One of the most touching moments for me was when an ex-client from a different business joined Cast 3. We never got to finish his project back then – life happened – and part of me still carried guilt about that. But instead of holding onto the past, he chose to reconnect, learn, and grow alongside us.

That, to me, is what conviction looks like – not in speeches, but in action. The courage to rebuild, reconnect, and rise again.

And as I watched every member share their stories, something shifted in me.
It felt like watching seeds bloom. 🌱

I saw futures forming – and I realised I’m growing right alongside them.

3️⃣ The Speaker’s Evolution: From Creator to CEO	Speaking is step one. Build systems so your voice keeps earning even when you’re offstage. Action: Map out your next evolution – Creator → Coach → CEO. Where are you now?
4️⃣ Target–Offer–Copy: The Golden Trio	Simplicity scales. Get crystal clear on who you serve, what they need, and how you say it. Action: Write your “I help” statement in one sentence.
5️⃣ The Paradox of Focus	When you narrow your niche, your reach grows. Specificity creates curiosity. Action: Define your niche in one line and test it online.
6️⃣ Video Testimonials Are Proof	No one can argue with evidence. A single clip of a student or organiser saying “you changed my life” beats any sales pitch. Action: Capture three clips from your next session.
7️⃣ Reverse Psychology Sells	“This isn’t for everyone” works – because confidence is irresistible. Action: In your next pitch, include one line that filters for the right people.
8️⃣ The 4 Speaker Attachment Styles	Are you anxious, avoidant, fearful, or secure when selling? The secure speaker leads with conviction, not fear. Action: Reflect – how do you behave before a sale or talk? What triggers you?
9️⃣ The 1-Minute Power Formula	Hook → Story → Objective → CTA – the formula that works online and onstage. Action: Script a 1-minute story post and test it on social.
🔟 AI as a Partner, Not a Master	I built Seraphina AI to support my workflow – not replace my voice. AI amplifies; it doesn’t define. Action: Use AI to automate tasks, but never your truth.
11️⃣ Speak Often – Paid or Not	Every stage builds momentum. Even free talks can lead to clients. Action: Book one stage – virtual or in-person – this month.
12️⃣ Repurpose Relentlessly	Speak once, share thirty times. One talk can become reels, quotes, and a blog. Action: Use tools like VEED or Repurpose.io to multiply your content.
13️⃣ B2B Pays Bills, B2C Builds Wealth	B2B brings structure. B2C brings scale. Balance both. Action: Identify one B2B and one B2C opportunity this quarter.

As Andy summed up so beautifully:

“A true speaker is a leader with a voice, a creator with courage, and a CEO with vision.”

And I couldn’t agree more.

🪞 Behind the curtain: My own lessons from Cast 3

Every time I teach, I learn something new about leadership, community, and myself.

Here are my three biggest takeaways from this cast – things that didn’t come from slides, but from shared experience.

1️⃣ Transparency builds trust.
Someone asked if I was afraid to share my full playbook – what if others replicate it?
My answer: “That’s the point.”
If someone takes what I share and succeeds faster, I’ve created impact. That’s legacy.

2️⃣ We’re co-creators, not competitors.
Every cast sparks new collaborations. Speakers teaming up, creating joint offers, and even hosting events together.
That’s when you know you’ve built something real – a movement, not a moment.

3️⃣ Growth is infinite when hearts are open.
When you stay open to learning, even from your own students, you never plateau.
Action: List three people you could collaborate with this month. Send them a DM. Start the conversation.

🎂 A birthday reflection: A life that feels free

As the clock struck midnight, I realised: I wouldn’t have it any other way.
I’m spending my birthday doing exactly what I love – mentoring, building, and creating.

It doesn’t feel like work anymore – it feels like alignment.

Sure, I still dislike admin tasks (they’ll forever be my nemesis 😅), but every time I see one of our speakers land their first gig, sell out their workshop, or step onto a bigger stage – I’m reminded why this matters.

And I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
